World Anti-Obesity day is observed on October 11 every year since 2015. Obesity is the the energy imbalance between calories consumed and energy spent. Obesity claims a higher rate in women than men. According to a recent statistics, by 2025 around 2.7 billion people will suffer from overweight and obesity. Several measure undertaken by the World Health Organisation include improving local food environment, improving individual dietary choices, educating communities to create proper support for creating healthy food environments and many more.
